INTRODUCTION TO CLASSROOM LEARNING:
The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health by classroom learning is a special 10 week day release course run by Workplace Law Training's expert tutors and covers key issues in health and safety management included in the core NEBOSH syllabus.
The course takes place every Tuesday for the ten week duration in our central London training venue. The duration of the course is a minimum of 81 hours plus private study and background reading. Marked homework assignments make use of past NEBOSH examination papers. Assessment is by an end-of-course examination comprising two written papers - NGC1 (The management of safety and health) and NGC2 (Controlling workplace hazards) - and a practical assessment (NGC3) which consists of carrying out a health and safety inspection of a workplace and preparing a management report.
The course syllabus is divided into three parts:
- NGC1 - The management of safety
- NGC2 - The identification and control of hazards
- NGC3 - The practical assessment
Assessment is by an end examination comprising of two written papers (papers NGC1 and NGC2) and a practical assessment (NGC3). The practical assessment consists of carrying out a safety inspection of a workplace and preparing a management report.
